Lucy and I are part of a growing band of people who make our living online.

Twenty years ago, our lifestyle would have been unthinkable, so we and others like us are in new territory.

We’re finding our way, without the advantage of looking back to see how previous generations coped.

It’s both exciting and demanding. And we love it.

Like most working Mums, and Grannies, Lucy and I wear a great many hats. And our pet blogger’s hat is just one of them

Life is busy

We all have hobbies and responsibilities. In addition to our pets, many of us have homes to care for, jobs to go to, sports days and graduations to attend, bed time stories to read, families to consider.

One hat comes off and another goes on, many times each day!

It can be frantic and sometimes life can be a challenge. People fall on hard times, kids get sick, long journeys have to be made, money to be spent.

Helping you cope

Coping with everything that life throws at you can be tough at times, and it can help sometimes to know how others, male or female, cope with the practicalities of wearing different hats.

We’ll be looking at how to make those hats work together in harmony and sharing some of our own adventures with you.

Many people find solace in blogging their way through. And in sharing the ups and downs of their lives with others.

Blogging can be as personal or as impersonal as you want. One of the joys of blogging is that you get to choose what you share and what you say.

But no matter what style of blogger you are, blogging will impact on your life in a big way.

We’ll be looking at how life at a keyboard can affect your health, and how to keep yourself well while engaging in a sedentary occupation.

Most of us need to make a living too, and blogging can eat into your time, so we show you how to generate an income from your efforts if you want to.

Whether you are blogging about dogs, or your pet hamster, blogging can become a significant source of income, it can even enable you to give up your day job. And we’ll be looking at how to discover if you have what it takes to be a professional blogger

Blogging is not just for the young, and technically competent. It’s for anyone that is willing to learn and share.

I am approaching my seventh decade while Lucy is just entering her fourth. There is something for everyone here!
